By downloading, installing, or using UVwise ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and UVwise ("we," "us," or "our").
UVwise is a personal sun safety application that provides:
UVwise is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The App provides general information and recommendations based on publicly available dermatological research, including the Fitzpatrick skin classification scale and standard MED (Minimal Erythemal Dose) values. This information is for educational and general wellness purposes only.
You should not rely solely on UVwise for sun protection decisions. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional or dermatologist for medical advice about your skin health, sun exposure, and skin cancer screening.
We are not responsible for sunburn, skin damage, or any adverse health outcomes resulting from the use of the App. Individual sun sensitivity varies and may not align perfectly with generalized skin type classifications.

Premium unlocks additional features including unlimited timer sessions, detailed analytics (calendar heatmaps, vitamin D charts, session history), custom tanning routines, and multi-location UV tracking.

All prices are in United States Dollars (USD). Prices may vary by region and are subject to change. The applicable price will be displayed in the App and confirmed at the time of purchase.
If a free trial is offered, the trial period will be specified at the time of offer. At the end of the free trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless canceled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial will be forfeited upon purchasing a subscription.
All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple directly. We do not process refunds independently. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund from Apple.
UVwise does not require account creation. Your skin profile, preferences, and session data are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage technologies. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal health data on external servers.
If you enable Apple HealthKit integration, data is shared only between UVwise and the Health app on your device, subject to Apple's HealthKit privacy policies.
UV index data and weather forecasts are provided by Apple WeatherKit. While we strive for accuracy, UV conditions can change rapidly due to cloud cover, atmospheric conditions, and local factors. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of UV data.
Tanning duration recommendations are based on published dermatological research and the Fitzpatrick skin classification system. These are general guidelines and may not account for individual medical conditions, medications, or other factors affecting sun sensitivity.

All content, features, and functionality of UVwise — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, educational content, algorithms, and software — are the exclusive property of UVwise and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UVwise and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of health, personal injury, or any damages arising from your use of the App.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless UVwise and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via the App Store update notes. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
